About Me

So what’s my deal? I’ll try to keep it short…
I spent a great deal of my childhood reluctantly going to antique car shows with my parents.  While I disliked being dragged to these events, I did learn to appreciate those lovely, spacious backseats of 1940s Packards and other such automobiles and ultimately developed a fascination with all things antique.  That may be why my passion, that I cannot avoid, is seeking out lovely, old things. I have done it since I was small and would sit in those same cars admiring the beautifully sculpted ashtrays in the doors, touching the smooth burled wood of the dash or pulling down the shades that delicately lined the windows.  I spent hours in the front yard searching for arrow heads and standing in my parents study looking at the antiques lining the shelves wondering all the while, ” who made these things?  How did they get here?  Who did they belong to?”  I still find myself trying to answer these questions and searching relentlessly, sometimes almost unaware, for things I love.
I have been looking for a long time for that thing I can pour all my creative juices into, something that I love to do that’s truly effortless.  This is it!  I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I love finding the inspiration.
